Located in a rolling open area in sight of the Steamboat Ski Area slopes, city owned Haymaker was designed by Keith Foster. It was Golfweek's #4 in Colorado You Can Play in 2019. No residences along the fairways.

Originally the Sheraton Steamboat course, the Robert Trent Jones II design was his first in Colorado. Fish Creek rushes across the fairways that has 66 bunkers. Now renamed and managed by Troon Golf.

Arriving from Utah on US 40, Craig is near the area's airport with available tee times and much cheaper lodging than in Steamboat Springs.
